Developed to insulate motor stators and armatures.
Offers cut-through temperature resistance with good edge coverage and adhesion to metal substrates. Designed to be applied by an electrostatic fluid bed process, and cured by means of an induction coil.

DK15EG-05
Developed to insulate motor stators and armatures and provide protection from solvents.
Offers cut-through temperature resistance, is flex fuel (unleaded gasoline and methanol) resistant and is UL recognized to 130°C operating temperature. Designed to be applied by an electrostatic fluid bed process, offering fast cure in an induction coil curing process. Particle size is tailored to provide low dusting levels.

Methods of Application

SolEpoxy's line of coating powders for the insulation and protection of electronic and electrical devices is designed to be applied in the full range of powder application equipment, including:

  • Standard fluid bed machines for coating both electronic and electrical devices including the small manual machines or the very large fully automated types. These powders provide very level bed surfaces with little or no dusting.
  • Cascade coating machines for axial leaded electronic devices. SolEpoxy's powders transport well to the application areas and coat with very little dusting.
  • Standard epoxy spray coating equipment for the integral insulation of motor armatures and stators in which the powder is blown onto the preheated part. Our powders are formulated to provide high edge coverage and good cut-through performance. Grades are available which do not require post curing.
  • Electrostatic fluid bed equipment for the coating of electronic devices and of electrical motor stators and armatures. SolEpoxy's powders are designed to provide the maximum charge acceptability. The particle size distribution is carefully controlled. These two factors allow for good control of film thickness.
  • Inline wheel coating equipment for radial leaded components. SolEpoxy's powders are designed to be compatible with this type of coating application.
